Humans somehow fail to recognize situations

A new #introduction for a new account!
Hi everyone, I'm Aen!
I'm a Cyber Security student, but you'll find me posting about lots of stuff! My interests include:
Reading SFF and History (reading a great book about the Middle Ages right now!)
Eurovision (we're between seasons right now but trust me, my Eurovision posting will commence come December...)
Music (I'm currently into RnB and Neo-Soul, but my taste changes all the time. I might start posting some album reviews now and then, maybe crossposting on albumoftheyear)
Dungeons and Dragons (big Dimension 20 fan and my friends just started the Curse of Strahd so I'll be playing my first session this week!)
Other than that, you'll probably see me complaining about all the work I have to do for university or trying to figure out if I have ADHD...
Anyway, if you've read this far, thanks! Reply with your favourite book/album, or an interesting one you've read or listened to recently (my To Be Read and To Be Listened lists might get a lot bigger )

Humans somehow fail to recognize situations outside the contexts in which they usually learn about them.

LeVar Burton replaces Drew Barrymore as National Awards host, from NPR. I get to post this because Burton portrayed Jordy LaForge, who I might be related to in the future.

British birds by Thorburn, Archibald -1860-1935-

I One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston. I dont know what to say about this . Its . Its F/F & trans-friendly. Its a weird cross between mystery &amp ghostly & time travel & a NY subway. I absolutely had to know how it ended because the plot is definitely unexpected. I struggled a little with the style/voice, but a great diversion during a hard week.

GORGEOUS, EVOCATIVE, SPOOKY as hell, Paul Jessups latest novel is infused with terror, yearning, and twisted love. Impeccable and poetic prose, powerful characterization, a haunting that lingers on. A MINUS

I recommend you to use hashtags on Mastodon! They are very effective.

How America Almost Destroyed The Industry

Told with equal parts horror and humor, Edenville explores the urban legends that fuel our nightmares and the ways in which ambition can overshadow our best instincts. Sam Rebelein is an exciting, sharp new voice, sure to terrify readers for years to come.

Warrior Princesses: How Lakota Twins Fight Oppression and Heal through Connectedness by Sarah Eagle Heart and Emma Eagle Heart-White

I loved getting the Lakota wisdom that was within the pages of this book. Part self-help, part memoir and altogether great book. It provides journal prompts at the end of each chapter that the reader can do. Some chapters are hard to read, but offer a glimpse into life on a reservation and within society as a Lakota woman.

When your buddy gets his first novel published, ya gotta display it properly.

The Time Machine is a wonderful story about friendship and forgiveness. Sharing the main characters emotions, Pauline David-Sax explains the importance of apologizing to young readers. As young Bailey shows it so well, it is not an easy thing, but it is certainly worth it.

We have received German and Dutch reviews for our 2021 edited volume " and Political in Imagery". For those who speak neither of the two languages, I have prepared a short summary. Both reviews show that further and methodological debates are needed in our field of study:

is a Japanese poet, picture book author, and screenwriter.
He is now 91 years old.
I long for a mature adult with the heart of a boy like him.
He started playing the cello at the age of 68 and continues to be a "little man (child)" in his old age.
