Today's review! Ham and Echo: Voyage of the Gordon Lighton by M. Jay Williams:

"A well-written tale that takes you on a thrilling journey, throwing the reader right into the middle of the action. I highly recommend it, and I was stunned with the ending, which I did not see coming."

I dont read horror novels often, but was recommended The Parliament, by Aimee Pokwatka. Its about a diverse group of people trapped in a library by a swarm of murderous owls. Theres also a story-within-a-story, a dark fairy tale, that parallels the main storyline. The book is a real page-turner.

"The US Senate and the Commonwealth" (2019)

The third 'Megacity' in the Operation Galton series by Terry Tyler does not disappoint. This one focuses on the period where megacities started to dominate the UK urban landscape while marginalising those living outside.

Now to read the first book 'Hope' in the series, as these can be really read in any order.

"Spearfinger", Luzene Hill

I A Valentino Reunion by Kylie Kent ( 5/Sons of Valentino). This mafia crime tale mostly follows matriarch Holly's crisis but has for grandson Lorenzo and Theo's rise to Don. Family drama & reunion all in one.

I remembering reading that Neil Gaiman basically wrote Coraline on 50 words a day. I feel like that right now with my work. I know where the story is going. It's on a good track, but man finding the time and energy to write is tough. So many things have to get done this time of year in my normal life, day job, taxes, family things, and such, that it's a struggle. Don't even get me started on keeping up with social media.

My next is The Grapes Of Wrath" by John Steinbeck.
My second book by this author.

So far the first draft of my upcoming book "Britain and Boudicca" is finished in German, and the first two of the five Parts in English and Dutch are also done... these are now in the edit/proofread phase. Part 3 is in the translation phase (to English and Dutch). During the research and the writing, I learned a LOT about Britain until the end of the Roman era there.

"Most of the papers in this volume originated as presentations at the conference Biblical Hebrew and Rabbinic Hebrew: New Perspectives in Philology and Linguistics, which was held at the University of Cambridge, 810th July, 2019. The aim of the conference was to build bridges between various strands of research in the field of Hebrew language studies that rarely meet, namely philologists working on Biblical Hebrew, philologists working on Rabbinic Hebrew and theoretical linguists."
