I am new to this platform. I write novels and short stories, and I also publish on Medium. I hope to connect with writers and readers. I love historical fiction, romance, and science fiction books.
There is no reason why a Star should continue in its orbit. Let her rip! Every time the conscious acts, it interferes with the Subconscious, which is Hadit. It is the voice of Man, and not of a God. Any man who listens to reason ceases to be a revolutionary. It is ridiculous to ask a dog why it barks. One must fulfil ones true Nature, one must do ones Will. To question this is to destroy confidence, and so to create an inhibition. We are not to calculate, to argue, to criticise these things lead to division of will and to stagnation. They are shackles of our Going. They hamstring our Pegasus. We are to rise up to Go to Love we are to be awake, alert

Auf Empfehlung von habe ich mir gestern "Zweimal langsamer wie du .." als ebook gekauft.
Spannend und nachdenklich zugleich.
This was a decent one about a boy getting a shrunken head as a gift that turns out to be magic. It helps him in a jungle adventure to save his aunt, yadda yadda yadda.CAPTIVATING HISTORICAL FANTASY set in an alternate, magical 1930s US stars a barnstorming pilot (and former bootlegger) tasked with unraveling a deadly web of enchantments. Lots of thrills, wit, fascinating Black heroine, and a touch of romance. B PLUS
Just as a note about the book itself, the size of the text is quite small, and with very dense text, it makes for difficult reading, especially with those with eye problems.
In the end I had to get a copy of the ebook to read it without squinting horribly each time I read it. I'd advise getting an ebook copy to increase the text size.
Lot of those books on languages I keep on personal bedroom book shelf for study and refrence in case before traveling. Local books at book shop for three decades all they sell on language shelves is the spanish........ You have to go to internet shops online or small town book shops to find anything else from oriental east or europe continent.

Time to share my February reading list! This is a lot lighter than January, mostly because work has picked back up. Again, all science fiction, because that's what my brain likes.
Revenger - Alastair Reynolds
Shadow Captain - Alastair Reynolds
Bone Silence - Alastair Reynolds
Blindsight - Peter Watts (re-read)
Revelation Space - Alastair Reynolds (in progress)
Watts is one of my favorite writers, and Blindsight and Echopraxia are probably my two favorite works of his.
I loved the Revenger series by Reynolds, but I'm struggling with Revelation Space. It's excellent work but I feel like it jumps back and forth between the various characters a bit too quickly.
What is everyone else reading Doesn't have to be science fiction!
I have the words, but I need the time.
I have the time, but I need the words.
It works either way, depending on what kind of writing day you are having.
Timely. I just hit the bit about trees and "crown shyness" in Becky Chambers' second "Monk and Robot" .
It's a lovely image about balanced, stable growth, rather than acquisitive overcrowded unbounded growth.
Like a fever dream. If you missed this week's blog, about our electricity challenge in Italy, here it is!
I read The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. Everyone should read this book.
Here is my review
I found Dr. Dobb's Toolbook of C at a good price in eBay. Somehow, it managed to get published in 1986 when 8080 computers were long ago obsolete.
