I've been trying to get back to reading books. I found this book I started reading before, but the characters frustrated me and I quit years ago. Last week, I started reading it again.

Another I've read lately: Slayers of Old, by Jim C. Hines. A+, solid fun, and I love all the point-of-view characters. I love the possibly-sentient house, too.
My only complaint is that it took way too long to meet the tentacle cat from the cover.

Ich bin ja ein wenig spt dran, wenn ich jetzt das Buch "Antifragilitt" von Nassim Nicholas Taleb lese, welches immerhin bereits 2012 erschienen ist. Aber das Thema - Systeme, die an Unordnung nicht zugrunde gehen, sondern sogar daran wachsen - ist natrlich auch fr Informatiker interessant. Wenn im Buch dann ab und an auch das eigentliche Thema durchblitzt, ist es ja durchaus bemerkenswert, aber leider ist der ganze Schreibstil so ausschweifend, so von einer Nichtigkeit zur anderen hpfend, so von Ego-Nachrichten durchzogen, dass der interessante Kern kaum durchdringen kann. Es ist beinahe so, wie wenn jemand 100 Wrter und mehr braucht, um zu sagen: Lohnt sich nicht.
