The deeper transformation occurs when the ego can withstand contact with what exceeds its familiar organization without immediately assimilating it or expelling it in that sustained interval, vulnerability becomes discernment, projection can be recognized as projection, and the encounter becomes a movement toward a more spacious form of psychological identity.

Doubt has seized the hem of imagination, and carries it away to the slaughterhouse of denial. The warm blood of the unbeliever of nothingness drips from the lines of my poem.

In the mornings, put two drops into the nose at noon, one drop in the evening, four drops. It is highly beneficial most beneficial, indeed, for the dry-minded.

Post 1
Upon my descent, from among the petals of nothingness, you look at me you, who came for a moment, just as I was about to... you were gone, because the necessity of time, place, and my soul gave me no chance to fill the cup.

Now that you have come, you have taken on our color you no longer smell of nothingness. It is as though, from between the concrete pavements, a clear blue water has sprung forth.

The Missing Anthology: Stories from Singapore's Sex Workers

Editors: Vanessa Ho, Raksha Mahtani, Nor
2025-03-09
ISBN: 978-981-94-1956-2
Editorial: Faction Press

> Sex workers in Singapore and most places around the world tend to be dehumanised, glamourised or sensationalised by the public and media alike. Rarely do mainstream narratives centre sex workers voices and agency. The Missing Anthology presents fifteen bold new voices from sex workers, whose writings resist societys simplistic assumptions about sex work. In these works, authors recount their lived experiences, share their struggles and triumphs, and imagine different futures for the sex industry.

> Born from an open call and writing workshops organised by Project X the only non-profit organisation in Singapore that provides social, emotional, and health services to people in the sex industry these pieces daringly experiment with form, genre, and perspective. In these pages, youll find two chickens discussing their dreams while blowing up a condom pieces on the dynamics of domme-ing and servicing second-hand hearts essays on the importance of activism and its obstacles short fiction exploring fantasies of violent liberation tender letters to loved ones and younger selves that reflect on their journeys and how far theyve come.

> The Missing Anthology re-centres sex workers voices from the margins, bringing them into the conversation about an industry often treated as illicit and taboo. By doing so, it aims to address issues of inequality, social and economic mobility, stigmatization, and safety that are fuelled by misconceptions about sex workers and their profession.

Smutty novel meets historical with a flavor. The role of the Berab children in bringing about a happy ending made me smile and cry at the same time, and ultimately, I had to give the an extra star for that.

Je viens de le terminer, et il est vraiment trs trs bon.

All phenomena of which we are aware take place in our own minds, and therefore the only thing we have to look at is the mind which is a more constant quantity over all the species of humanity than is generally supposed.

"Last week, was hosted on s , #AskHavivAnything, to discuss her past and her soon-to-be-released book, both of which argue that in the commonly fails to teach about the people and , with possible negative consequences.

As has famously put it, our world seems far more invested in teaching about dead than about Jewish life. She suggests that this approach may reinforce the very hatred it is supposed to inoculate against.

Within hours of that episode airing, accounts were using clips from the podcast to accuse the organization I work for of harming Jews. I am certain this is not what Horn intends, but one consequence of her argument is that it can easily be reduced to the belief that Holocaust education does not work.

It does, in fact, not work and the positive indicators in the article make Horn's case not Cunningham's.

Go all in but how far dare you go

For our third event this August, we were again in Knaresborough for another FEVA event, this time at Knaresborough Library and a slightly more adult-themed topic on how far do you go in writing your intimate scenes in romance

With capable hosting assistance from librarian Deborah, authors Lesley Field and our own Sue Williams shared their thoughts about writing intimacy: how far to go, whether to stop at the door, and can they stop laughing enough to actually write it

From the librarys review:

It was a fantastic evening filled with lively discussion, laughter and inspiration. Were delighted that so many of you enjoyed the session as much as we did.

Some of your lovely feedback says it all:

Best event ever put on by FEVA.

Great fun, thank you! Love our fabulous library.

Special thanks to our friends at Books and Beverages for organising such a wonderful event.

An truly engaging and entertaining evening of ghost stories excellently presented by all three guest authors.

If you prefer, you can also watch our videos on where you can support us by liking and subscribing!

FEVA is Knaresboroughs summer Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts and is a constituted community not-for-profit organisation run by a team of volunteers.

Books and Beverages UK showcases independent authors, storytellers, and creative voices through live events recorded at Harrogate Library and shared online for readers everywhere.

"The Running Grave" is a whole lot better than the previous Cormoran Strike. A bulky book, telling you to stay clear of cults. By Robert Galbraith

RE:

Chapter 5 "The Environment" is worth alone the book. At just 10 pages it's one of the best explanations I've seen of the interactive programming style of Lisp, and how to develop incrementally by changing the state of a running image. It also discusses why Lisp has no traditional "programs" and compares a sample application written in BASIC, Pascal, and Common Lisp.

My heist is free for the next few days!

I'm going to tomorrow.

Gotta rave about the best I picked up at :

Bitter Medicine by Mia Tsai

There's a magic Chinese calligraphy artist and a French half-elf. And a spicy romance, but also a bunch of spy thriller stuff. It's a really nice mix and it works. The world is fun, the magic is cool, the people are real.

It's still a great book and you should all sign up for the launch. Check it out.
