I'm trying to come up with a title for my middle grade (ages 8-12) comic mystery novel, about dogs, cats, and other animals on a Caribbean island.

Which of these two titles would make you (or the 8-12 year olds in your life) more likely to pick up the book and read the back cover

(Please boost -- I need input!)

1. Reconciliation Dumplings and Other Recipes by Sara Norja

Loved this novella so much. It combines things I love food history, food porn and using these to build a fantastical world and history. Its lovely, cozy and also has a surprisingly satisfying arc to it.

2. I'm working on Decolonizing Prehistory. Its free to read online if you are interested. Its a one stop reference regarding prehistory, a pretty questionable designation if a global and holistic understanding of the past is of interest of you. It puts together a lot of things I've noticed but didn't combine, along with clarifying things and showing examples. Honestly a pretty good book to read if you are interested in landback and want a better understanding of how we got here and how to deconstruct anti-landback thoughts. Only 20% through and there are so many works referenced that even when I'm done with this book, I won't be done with learning.

I Spark: A Qurilixen World Novella: Intergalactic Dating Agency by Michelle Pillow (Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides 1). This rom-com first contact story has no mail-order bride component at all. It's a fun & silly take on the cultural misunderstandings of an alien dumped in Las Vegas.

Our first question is not whether cosmic purpose existstherell be plenty of time for thatbut on what bearing the existence or non-existence of cosmic purpose has on the human condition.

I admit that my visions can never mean to other men as much as they do to me. I do not regret this. All I ask is that my results should convince seekers after truth that there is beyond doubt something worth while seeking, attainable by methods more or less like mine. I do not want to father a flock, to be the fetish of fools and fanatics, or the founder of a faith whose followers are content to echo my opinions. I want each man to cut his own way through the jungle.
