Also, this book is so good. I don't want to spoil the twists but there's Baba Yaga, a wolf, two orphans, a tsar who wants to burn the forest, a lost heir, a taking raven... Normally this is where I get bored of knitting stockinette but the book is keeping it fun.

Book 2 of 2024. Reading this in parallel with a high science book about Kant, Borges, and Heisenberg. It's a weird juxtaposition.
This book has some very funny parts, and some very political parts, and some very ridiculous parts. But all in all, pretty thin.
I bought it because somebody posted the best sentence in it on mastodon. So there you go. That sentence made me laugh out loud.
I via Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger. I can't remember the 7 tools but I do remember
1) it's included with Spotify Premium & < 15 hr so I listened for .
2) I'd listen to it again just to have his voice put me to sleep. It's the perfect pitch. Accent is bonus.
3) The former governor is stereotypical Gen X (ahead of his time) (see IG's champagnecruz) & he's preaching here.
