Just got the book, yeey! BSD Hacks by Dru Lavigne.
The artist I'm working with on the new covers wanted a more detailed description of the characters are wearing. While the work is I ended up on a rather deep dive into the terminology, articulation, and functionality of medieval armor components.

Today's review! In the Dark Heart of Winter by Mere Rain:
"I loved the gothic feel to the book - the castle in the middle of nowhere, the whispers and sounds at night, the stone corridors and stairs, the darkness and cold... An immersive short read with gothic vibes and queer characters."

The Dark Side of : Supermodel On Exploitation & Abuse 3 months ago
Started reading a new that seems like it is going to be a series, and Im enjoying it so far. Particularly, the rag-tag crew and their relationships to each other makes it far more interesting than a book full of macho space military characters. Reminds me of Firefly or Becky Chamberss Wayfarers without being the same sort of story.

Oscuro, brutal y salvaje. Con un buen ritmo y sin adornos este libro nos muestra la oscuridad ms terrible y el monstruo que es la sociedad humana. He tendido que dormir con la luz encendida y un tapete cerca, por si acaso.
I've started reading 'All That Glitters' by Orlando Whitfield:
Five pages in, and the author has me hooked. The book is hailed by Megan Nolan and Patrick Radden Keefe, which is meaningful.

Book 36 of 2024. This is an excellent book, full of talk about art, living, and human relationships. It's a covid book that cuts to the heart of isolation. And it is written very well indeed.

Im trying out a new book club on Activity pub (the thing Mastodon is built on), and so far I'm really liking it. There's a lot of activity, and you see other people's recommendations and the books they are reading right away.
You can also follow people's activity from a Mastodon account if you want, without needing a bookwyrm account.
I'm on the instance, but you can join other networks through . Come say hi!

Today's review! The Broker by Matthew Dante:
"Another fast paced, dark thriller, filled with danger, excitement, a budding romance and humor... I highly recommend The Broker, especially if you like characters who have struggled in life and now are starting to get things together."
