Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin! Already quite the haunting first chapter. The word choice and structure immediately sucks you into what the main character is going through.

I'm almost finished with the second of these books, but Ive paused because Im reluctant to end themIm enjoying them so much. The author, Satoshi Yagisawa, uses a bookstore as a backdrop to explore themes like loneliness and introspection, the same reasons we often dive into books. His prose beautifully captures the magic of moments with just a few strokes. I cant wait for more of his works to be translated or to discover similar authors.

The paperback is here!

Unbeatable! A kinda "Must Read" book for any computer low-level aficionados.

PS: Stupid bragging, like everyone else in the wild, I have my well-thumbed copy of the first version of it. :)

Fastest I've finished a book in a long time, even if this was quite a short and light read. I did stop to look up many things - food, pottery and places.
6 chapters, each about a different dish but so much other . If you like this will make you hungry, and if you don't, you'll long for some. Book is full of emotions and memories (unlocked though food) too. Joyful read!

Today's review! SapphicLover69 by Edale Lane:

"I highly recommend SapphicLover69 by Edale Lane. Its somewhat different from what she usually writes, but its a good, dangerous mystery. I hope other authors will give this entertaining novel a read."

i still think that denzel washington would be the best spofforth in a film version of walter tevis's "mockingbird".

perhaps with emma watson and daniel radcliff or rupert grint. anyway, it's a perfect book and film for this age.

The updated version will be available soon. To celebrate, I will make the ebook available to for 24 hours keep an eye on this page for more information.

It never ceases to amaze me how much monetary value a book loses when it ends up in a charity shop. The book has the same content it had the day it was bought, but only around 10% of the cost. Kinda mad.
